Welcome to Detector Distributions. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with the following Terms of Service. These terms govern all purchases, payment, shipping, warranty, and return procedures. Please read this document carefully as it outlines your responsibilities and our commitments to you.
1. General Information
Detector Distributions is a wholesale distributor of metal detecting and prospecting products. Our services are available exclusively to registered dealers. By purchasing through us, you agree to abide by these terms of service.
2. Dealer Account and Eligibility

Eligibility to Purchase:
- Only authorized dealers who have registered with Detector Distributions can make purchases through our platform. Registration is required to access the dealer portal and make purchases.

Account Maintenance:
- Dealers are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date account details, including business information and contact information.
3. Orders and Payment

Order Placement:
- Orders can be placed directly via the Dealer Portal or by email if the dealer chooses not to use the portal.

Payment Terms:
- Payment is required prior to shipping any orders.
- Payment must be made via direct deposit to the account specified by Detector Distributions.
- No product will be shipped until payment has been received and cleared.

Shipping Costs:
- Shipping costs are quoted at checkout in the Dealer Portal.
- For orders placed outside of the Dealer Portal, shipping quotes will be provided via email upon request.
- The dealer is responsible for paying the quoted shipping fees.

Order Confirmation:
- Once payment is received, an order confirmation will be sent to the dealer, and the order will be processed for shipping.
4. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping Method:
- Orders will be shipped using reliable courier services chosen by Detector Distributions.
- Shipping times will vary depending on the location of the dealer and the size of the order.

Shipping Responsibility:
- Shipping costs are the responsibility of the dealer.
- Shipping delays caused by external factors, such as weather or courier issues, are beyond our control and do not constitute a breach of this agreement.

Order Tracking:
- Once the order has shipped, tracking details will be provided to the dealer.
5. Warranty and Returns

Warranty Coverage:
- Warranty eligibility varies by product, and details are available in the Dealer Portal and on product packaging. Not all products come with a warranty.
- Warranty coverage includes manufacturing defects and excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications.

Warranty Claim Process:
- Dealers or end users must submit a Warranty Claim Form via our website, including proof of purchase, the product’s serial number, and photo/video evidence of the issue.
- Once the claim form is completed, Detector Distributions will handle all subsequent servicing or replacement processes directly.
- Our service technician will review the submitted information, confirm eligibility for warranty coverage, and guide the customer through the next steps.
- If the warranty claim is valid, the product will be repaired or replaced, and return shipping will be covered by Detector Distributions.
- In cases where a product is out of warranty, a fee will be quoted for the repair or replacement, and we will provide confirmation before proceeding.

Shipping for Warranty Claims:
- Dealers or end users are responsible for the shipping costs to send the product to our Service Centre for warranty claims. However, Detector Distributions will cover the return shipping costs if the warranty is valid.

Exclusions from Warranty:
- Products that are damaged due to misuse, unauthorized repairs, or sold as “clearance,” “used,” or “as-is” are not covered under warranty.
6. Return Policy (Dealers)

Returns for Dealers:
- Returns are only accepted from authorised dealers for products purchased directly from Detector Distributions.
- Products must be unused, in original packaging, and returned within 30 days of the invoice date.

Approval Process:
- Dealers must make contact via email for return authorisation. Proof of purchase and a description of the issue are required.
- Upon approval, the dealer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Restocking Fee:
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all non-defective returns.

Non-Returnable Items:
- Custom orders, discontinued items, and products damaged due to misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications cannot be returned.
7. Dealer Responsibilities

Product Handling:
- Dealers are responsible for ensuring proper handling, storage, and sales of products purchased from Detector Distributions.

Communication with End Users:
- Dealers must communicate warranty and return policies to end users as outlined in the Dealer Portal.
- Dealers are responsible for assisting end users with warranty claims, returns, and any other product issues.
8. Customer Damaged Goods Policy
If a the customer of a dealer receives goods that are damaged or defective, it is the repsonsibility of the dealer. Replacement costs, shipping costs are the responsility of the dealer. Return shipping costs for damaged goods are the responsibility of the dealer or customer, depending on dealers policies but are not the responsibility of Detector Distributions.
9. Store Damaged Goods Policy
If a product arrives damaged at a retail store (dealer), the dealer must notify Detector Distributions within 7 days of receiving the shipment. The following procedure applies:
- Report Damage: Complete the Contact Us form or email your account manager with the order number, product details, damage description, and photographic evidence.
- Return and Replacement: Once the damage is verified, we will replace the product after receiving the damaged product back at our service center.
- Return Shipping: The retail store is responsible for returning the damaged product to our service center at their own cost. We will cover the return shipping of the replacement item to the store.
10. Return Freight Policy
Customers are responsible for the return freight of any products they wish to return to our service center. This includes the shipping of damaged or defective items for warranty claims. Once the issue is verified and the product is deemed eligible for a warranty replacement or repair, we will cover the return shipping of the repaired or replaced product to the customer. Customers must ensure that products are securely packaged for return to avoid further damage during shipping.
11. Liability
Detector Distributions is not liable for:
- Any misuse, improper handling, or negligence by the dealer or end users.
- Shipping delays, errors, or issues caused by external couriers or other third parties.
- Any losses incurred as a result of product malfunction or damages.
12. Amendments to Terms of Service
Detector Distributions reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Dealers will be notified of any significant changes, and the updated terms will be available on the Dealer Portal and our website.
