Below is our Shipping Policy, which outlines our procedures and responsibilities regarding the shipment of orders. Please read this policy carefully to understand how shipping works when ordering through Detector Distributions.


1. Order Processing

  1. Payment Confirmation:

    • All orders are processed only after payment has been received and cleared via direct deposit. No order will be shipped until payment is confirmed.
  2. Order Confirmation:

    • After payment has been confirmed, a shipping confirmation email will be sent to the dealer, which will include tracking information for the shipment.
  3. Order Fulfillment:

    • Orders are generally shipped within 1-2 business days of payment confirmation. Orders placed outside of regular business hours or on weekends/holidays may experience delays.

2. Shipping Methods

  1. Courier Services:

    • Orders will be shipped via reliable courier services such as Australia Post, Toll, or other reputable shipping providers. The choice of courier is at the discretion of Detector Distributions, but we will always aim to ensure the most cost-effective and timely delivery.
  2. Shipping Costs:

    • Shipping costs are quoted at checkout in the Dealer Portal. For orders placed outside the portal, shipping quotes will be provided via email after the order is confirmed.
    • The dealer is responsible for paying the shipping charges, which will be clearly outlined in the order confirmation.
  3. International Shipping:

    • Currently, Detector Distributions only ships within Australia. We do not provide international shipping at this time.

3. Delivery Times

  1. Estimated Delivery Times:

    • Delivery times vary depending on the location of the dealer and the size of the order. While we aim to deliver orders as promptly as possible, the following are general timeframes:
      • Metropolitan Areas: 2-5 business days
      • Regional Areas: 5-7 business days
      • Remote Areas: 7-10 business days
  2. Delays:

    • Please note that shipping delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, courier issues, or holidays. These delays are beyond our control and do not constitute a breach of this agreement.

4. Shipping Responsibilities

  1. Responsibility for Shipping Costs:

    • The dealer is responsible for all shipping charges, including any additional charges for expedited shipping or special handling requirements.
  2. Address Accuracy:

    • Dealers are responsible for ensuring the correct shipping address is provided during checkout. Any address changes after the order has been processed may result in additional charges or delays.
  3. Shipping Insurance:

    • Shipping insurance is optional and available at an additional cost. Dealers can request shipping insurance during the checkout process for an added layer of protection against loss or damage in transit.

5. Tracking and Notifications

  1. Tracking Information:

    • After an order is shipped, dealers will receive an email with tracking information to monitor the progress of the delivery.
  2. Lost or Damaged Shipments:

    • If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, please contact Detector Distributions immediately. We will assist in investigating the issue with the courier, and in cases where shipping insurance was purchased, we will help facilitate the claim process.

6. Shipping Restrictions

  1. Restricted Items:

    • Certain items may be subject to shipping restrictions due to size, weight, or hazardous materials. If any of the items in an order are restricted, we will notify the dealer and offer alternative solutions, such as the option to remove or substitute the item.
  2. Undeliverable Shipments:

    • If a shipment is returned to us due to an incorrect address, failure to claim the package, or other reasons that are outside of our control, the dealer will be responsible for the reshipping costs.

7. Delivery Receipt and Inspection

  1. Receipt of Order:

    • Upon receiving the order, the dealer must inspect the items for any visible damage. If any damage is noticed upon delivery, please contact Detector Distributions immediately to resolve the issue.
  2. Returns and Exchanges:

    • Please refer to our Returns Policy for guidance on how to return or exchange any products if necessary. Returns due to shipping damage must be reported within 7 days of receiving the package.

8. Amendments to Shipping Policy

Detector Distributions reserves the right to update or modify this Shipping Policy at any time. Dealers will be notified of any significant changes, and the updated policy will be available on the Dealer Portal and our website.
